Needles releases a contemporary take on the traditional Japanese Samue jacket. Originally made as work clothing for Buddist monks, this iteration is featured in a lightweight 7.5 oz denim. A Needles classic, this blanket-lined coat features a Noragi-style collar with snap-button closure, a double-breasted front placket, welt pockets at the waist, a straight hem and a boxy fit. The silhouette remains relatively the same from its originator, though coated brass hardware replaces drawstrings, hidden hand pockets are added and triple stitch seams are used throughout.
