Artifact: Burmese Bronze Rain Drum 18th early 19th Century

Antique Burmese Bronze Rain Drum of ancient form with a wide waisted body, featuring two sets of handles and a large tympanum. Decorated with arcane geometric and water bird motifs radiating out from an 11 pointed star. The edge of the drum head features frogs. This drum is a beautiful example of late 18th or early 19th century Shan metalwork
