Previous Exhibition: Sacred Landscapes by Jesse Kaplan
In my photography, I like to capture unique moments in time that are often hidden from the outside world. Through human rituals or changing landscapes, my goal is to share these amazing images with others.
The nation of Burma has been closed to general travelers for almost a generation. Cut off by a military dictatorship and hidden from the outside world, what goes on behind Burma’s borders has been relatively unknown and unseen. Recently, I had the opportunity to travel through the country with my camera and document people and their daily lives. I wanted to capture unique rituals and practices that are a result of the isolation that Burma has experienced. Through photography I was able to share an experience that had been closed off to the world for decades.
